It's just about spring break here. Haven't had too much going on except for Rob's birthday and the district Pinewood Derby, which you can see in the pictures.January 4th, 2008
Happy New Year! We've got a brand new year, so how about a new site design? (Please hit "refresh" if you're still seeing the old banner!) Not too much going on except for getting through the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. We went to Birmingham for Thanksgiving, where we visited with Granddaddy Mitchell, and Uncle Bruce, Aunt Wendy & Uncle Pete showed up as well. For Christmas this year, we decided to stay home, so Granddaddy & Grandmommy Olejnik visited for a few days, and Granddaddy Mitchell came up for Christmas Day. And of course the pictures page has pics of some of this. There's also new content on all pages (finally!), so check them out! Oh, and did you see our first professionally done family portrait? ---->

Quite a lot has been going on recently. We just got done with Halloween, went on a trip to see an Auburn football game, and then went to Mobile to visit the U.S.S. Alabama! Not much else to say except go see the pictures!September 17, 2007
Michele & I just celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary! It's not really our style to have a big party or anything, so we just took the kids and went out to Chili's. (Hey, it was the first place we went to eat after our wedding!) Aside from that, not much has changed for me, but the new school year has started for Michele and Rob. Rob is now in 2nd grade, has moved up to the Wolf den in Cub Scouts, and has started playing soccer again. Michele started her new job at Huntsville High teaching Economics to 12th graders, and she loves it! Also, Katie has been very excited since she's started playing soccer through the YMCA.July 22nd, 2007
We just back from spending a week on the road, racking up a total of 2,165 miles! First we went to Swoyersville, PA where my dad's side of the family was having a reunion. That's where he grew up and where most of the rest of that part of the family still lives. On the way back home, we stopped and toured the Gettysburg battlefield (which was really exciting for Michele), and we also spent a couple of days in Washington, D.C. visiting the Smithsonian. We're happy to be back home now, but check the pictures for some of the trip.June 4th, 2007
Well, school's out and the summer activities have started. I've uploaded pictures of some of what the kids are doing. Michele was worried about not having a job for next year since Alabama said she's *not* highly qualified to teach math (long story there). But some people in administration, including her Princial from this past year, were able to pull some strings and get her transferred to another job within the Huntsville City Schools. So next year she'll be teaching Economics and AP Economics at Huntsville High! From what I gathered, this never happens, so she must have impressed someone!April 23rd, 2007
We went to Chattanooga this past weekend, so we have a few pictures from our trip to Rock City.February 3rd, 2007
More pictures!December 12th, 2006
I upload some new artwork for Rob and Katie on their respective pages, and I also included Rob's letter to Santa, which he wrote on his own volition. I also added a few new pics to my page.December 10th, 2006
We're getting ready for Christmas around here, and we've got most of our decorations up now. Rob, myself, and Granddaddy Olejnik went on a campout inside Cumberland Caverns last month with the Cub Scouts. I had a couple of concerts that I performed in with the Madison Community Band. And Katie has finally been starting to go to the bathroom by herself!October 9th, 2006
Right now, Rob and Michele are in the middle of their fall break. It's certainly been busy around here since school began. Rob played soccer and started Cub Scouts, Michele's been grading papers, I've been involved with work, band, and becoming an assistant Den Leader, and Katie.... Well, she gets off easy (for now!). Put up some new pictures this time.August 6th, 2006
I recently redesigned the site to look and function a bit better. To quote McCoy from Star Trek, "I know engineers; They love to change things." There's not any new pictures yet since I've just been trying to get the site functional again, but my part of the site (B.J.'s Stuff) has been overhauled and a few things added, and there's two new drawings in Rob's section.Michele recently got a job as a 7th and 8th grade math teacher, and Rob starts 1st grade tomorrow. Things are finally falling into place!

We're finally moved in! We've uprooted everything and moved back to the South - Huntsville, Alabama specifically. We were nervous when we first moved to St. Louis, but this time, it's been smiles all around, so this is definitely the right move for us! It was only one trip for Michele and the kids, but I (B.J.) have been going back and forth between Alabama and Missouri, and most recently to Seattle for some training, so it's taking a little more time for it to sink in for me. Of course, I can already tell there's a bit of an accent creeping back in.Anybody need some slightly used ice scrapers?
